Transcription: Here we're in an area where the Congress originally had planned to bury George Washington and Martha Washington in a tomb. The family in 1832 decided against that. In the meantime, when Abraham Lincoln was president and he was assassinated and died in 1865, the Congress wanted to honor him by having a state funeral in the Great Rotunda above.
